LOST IN NORTH AMERICA
Josh Larson, Vince Schaefer, Cody Grodsky and Charlotte Durif tackled a once in a lifetime trip and spent 100 days touring North America in search of adventure, inspiration and good old fashion rock scrambling. The team traveled to 10 of America's best climbing destinations while spending 10 days at each historic spot. Vince put his photo and video expertise to the test, filming every step of the way while the crew lived the road trip life, and everybody climbed their freakin' faces off.
First stop in the video series, a local climber's favorite: Rumney, New Hampshire.
Rumney is a perfect, small New England town with instant access to a huge outcropping of world-class schist. The campground is comfortable and homey, but the rock climbing is powerful and bouldery sport route climbing
Now that these climbing monkeys are outta their cage, the've run amok - out to The Badlands, The Needles, and Spearfish Canyon, all in South Dakota. Rock climbing videos have never been so gunky. The Lost crew drive to British Columbia and find themselves amongst old growth Evergreen trees and huge granite blocks to climb. Deep in the Howe Sound, at the base of the Stawamus Chief, lies the enchanted forest of Squamish.
The crew are now in the birthplace of American rock climbing. The Valley is known for it's huge granite walls and it's climbing history. After getting to know the area they take down some classic blocs and fight the never-ending heat.
The Lost crew find themselves in The Pleasant Valley; deep in the Eastern Sierras, in California's high desert. The Grandiose boulders of the Buttermilks, the pocket rockets of The Happies, and the caves of the Sads will be stones they'll never forget.
hey're here for the classic climbing routes and boulders among the Red Rock cliffs. Josh and his buddies find themselves surrounded by perfect sandstone routes in colorful canyons and hills.
With quick work they tackle most of the 8a's that the park has to offer and put them to rest! They discover that under these mega classic lines there are boulder fields one after another, covering the desert floor, all begging to be climbed.
Joe's Valley in Utah is made up of three areas: Left Fork, Right Fork and New Joe's, all of which the Lost crew found FORKING AWESOME.
Freezing conditions, snow and dodgy passes are not enough to keep the Lost crew from bouldering through the Rockies! They will brave snow and ice to climb the best granite Colorado has to offer.
The Lost crew are back and goin' alpine!! Colorado is all about its mountains, and what lay at the base of these incredible peaks?! BOULDERS!
Six square miles of park, 1600 boulder problems and one Mexican border a stone's throw away. Must be in Hueco Tanks!
Kentucky is home to more than just fried chicken 'apparently' - it boasts an incredible climbing scene, with Red River Gorges galore...ies and climbing routes ABOUND.
